uma súplica
02:31
|
|||
renascendo a terra arrasada
recupero uma oração soterrada
clamando pra que a fúria da água
tenha misericórdia de nossa morada
e me permita reflorestar
minhas cicatrizes banhadas pela lama
e me faça te enxergar
----------
(a supplication)
as the scorched earth reborns
i recover a buried prayer
crying out for the fury of water
to have mercy on our home
and allow me to reforest
my scars bathed in mud
and make me see you
in the signs of a renewed flora
by wave erosion or the sound of thunder
welcome my soul into your body of water
dissolve me in your eternal tide
and fill my world with colors

oração do mar
05:43
|
|||
e as correntes vão nos levar
e me dissolvo nessa água
e o mundo é vasto, desajeitado e novo
todos os detalhes que nunca percebi
estou viva, descendida a meu núcleo
(e me dissolvo nessa água)
me dissolvo nessa água
que nos cobre e se renova
junto os meus pés na areia
e esse chão não me falta
em seus ombros vou deitar
me encosto nos seus braços
deixo a água me lavar
porque sei que estou viva
e o sol vai queimar meu rosto
e o mundo é vasto, desajeitado e novo
----------
(sea’s prayer)
and the currents will carry us away
and I dissolve myself in this water
and the sun will bless the winter tones
and the world is vast and clumsy and new
all the details I never noticed
I am alive, descended to my core
I feel the salt of this earth on my feet
running through the water that makes me feel
that the light will persist
and there is no wind that can take it away
my dear, let me show you
the new moon will wash away your tears
look at the sky, reflecting the sea
in its immensity my body will float
(and the currents will carry us away)
the rain that once only carried mud
now in its source it will purify me
(and I dissolve myself in this water)
pray for our souls, oh goddess of the sea
I wrap myself in your arms and find my home
I dissolve in this water
that covers us and renews itself
I put my feet in the sand
and this floor doesn’t lack me
on your shoulders I will lay
I lean into your arms
I let the water wash me
because I know I'm alive
and the sun will burn my face
and the world is vast and clumsy and new
the rain that once only brought mud
now in its source it will purify me

tuas pegadas
07:08
|
|||
vejo tuas pegadas
correndo soltas pela água
em sua parede laminada
seu corpo me desloca
quebrando o céu
reflete o teu olhar
quando a maré baixar
o que vai sobrar
pavimenta a terra roxa
tão frágil e delicada
sobre as tuas ondas
eu faço minha casa
o que me falta pra ter a graça
de encontrar o céu na terra
se meus olhos não podem enxergar
nenhum fio que atravessa o ar
essa sina eu lanço a mim mesma
e se eu não tiver a graça
de ver seu córrego desaguando ao mar
tracejarei na areia suas pegadas
você nunca vai andar sozinha
então deixo o mar me levar
minha casa é sua
após a chuva só resta lama
e as coisas naturais dessa vida
quando meu corpo se decompor
e se levar de volta pro mar
não restará mais nada
nenhuma preocupação, aflição, dor, luto, angústia,
culpa ou consciência
ou necessidade de compreender
o absurdo da existência
e pra onde devo ir
que sentido dar ao espírito
ou o que se diz ser
que necessita apoio,
um encontro, um repouso,
que alivia a agonia
da ausência divina
então deixo o mar me levar
minha casa é sua
em tuas pegadas
tudo vai se encontrar
----------
(your footprints)
I see your footprints
running wild through the water
on your laminated wall
your body moves me
breaking the sky
reflects your gaze
when the tide goes down
what will be left
pave the purple earth
so fragile and delicate
over your waves
I make my home
what do I need to have the grace
to find heaven on earth
if my eyes can't see
no thread that passes through the air
I cast this fate to myself
and if I don't have the grace
to see your stream flowing into the sea
I will trace your footprints in the sand
you will never walk alone
so I let the sea take me
my house is yours
after the rain, only mud remains
and the natural things of this life
when my body decays
and take itself back to the sea
there will be nothing left
no worry, affliction, pain, mourning, anguish,
guilt or conscience
or need to understand
the absurdity of existence
and where should I go
what meaning should I give to the spirit
(or what it is said to be)
that needs support,
a meeting, a rest
that eases the agony
of divine absence
so I let the sea call me
my home is yours
in your footprints
everything will find itself

de areia e sal
04:56
|
|||
me encosta no seu corpo eterno
o seu afluxo me acolheu
junto a toda a água dessa oração
----------
(from sand and salt)
whenever the sun drenches me in its fiery bath
I see you in the reflection of the waves
bathed in a crystal body
to defy its eternal fury to fulfill
the eroding movement of sea glass
transform me into a portion of salt
lean me against your eternal body
make me part of your surf
that renews through the years
everything that one day was undone in prayer
my marsala body found itself
on your turquoise trail
your influx welcomed me
to water my desert of dry branches
when iemanjá receives
the candles you lit
you will see that the whole world is yours
and when solar time runs out
I want to know if this beach will be here
containing the advances of the ocean
and next to the gravel, the stardust
melts into the sand with my body formed by salt
sparkles the whole universe
renew me through the years
make me part of this surf
and lean me against your eternal body
along with all the water of this prayer

are you going to scarborough fair?
parsley, sage, rosemary, and thyme
remember me to one who lives there
she once was a true love of mine
tell her to make me a cambric shirt
(on the side of the hill of the jordan river)
parsley, sage, rosemary, and thyme
(tracing the bullets that fly over mosques)
without no seams nor needle work
(and white phosphorous blazing on the soil)
then she'll be a true love of mine
(sleeps unaware of the air raid siren)
tell her to find me an acre of land
(on the side of the sea in the gaza strip)
parsley, sage, rosemary and thyme
(struggling to breath in the dust of debris)
between the salt water and the sea strands
(while the idf soldier polishes a tank)
then she'll be a true love of mine
(to kill in the name of the apartheid)
tell her to reap it with a sickle of leather
(genocide blows over the open streets)
parsley, sage, rosemary, and thyme
(israel order its soldiers to kill)
and gather it all in a bunch of heather
(and to fight for a cause they've long ago forgotten)
then she'll be a true love of mine
are you going to scarborough fair?
parsley, sage, rosemary, and thyme
remember me to one who lives there
she once was a true love of mine
from the river to the sea, free palestine

a sétima onda
06:36
|
|||
dissolvo meus olhos no horizonte
rezo pra quem nunca pode me escutar
e lave minhas entranhas
seu movimento etéreo me transforma
minha consciência é um relapso momentâneo
que se encerra pra desaguar no oceano
o que me compõe vai se renovar
todos os caminhos desaguam no mar
não sinto nada
além do sol
queimar minha carne
e evaporar toda
a amargura desse corpo
renascer novamente em uma flor
----------
(the seventh wave)
I dissolve my eyes on the horizon
seeing the lost waves being integrated into the sea
as the reflections of this life
drowning in our limited perception
I pray to those who can never hear me
for a miracle to make me reborn in the water
to disintegrate this earth-stained body
and take me away to your eternal source
bathed in water, earth, blood and mud
just the touch of this current can wash me
I dissolve into a million grains of sand
and then I lose the pieces that make up who I am
in the middle of the water clash with the erosion of the rocks
the particles of my memory disintegrate
increasingly displaced, I can't reach
and I scream to god why such misery
I just wanted to take a moment to breathe
inside a body that finally belongs to me
I scream into the abyss of my existence
for someone who can listen to me
and silence resonates with indifference
on the walls of this body devoid of a soul
flood me with your stream of fire
and burn the remains of this body
proclaim in my soul your divine tide
and fill me with your salty waves
break the fire of the sun in me
and wash my insides
break the strength of the waves in me
and wash everything that belongs to me
and when the seventh wave returns
to flood this world with mud
and turn everything into part of your water
your ethereal movement transforms me
my conscience is a momentary lapse
that ends to empty into the ocean
what makes me up will be renewed
all roads lead to the sea
I do not feel anything
beyond the sun
burning my flesh
and evaporate all
the bitterness of this body
be reborn again into a flower

trilhas de água
07:24
|
|||
você vai me reconhecer
se encandeiam no fundo do oceano
as estrelas que caíram do céu
junto a poeira cósmica
em nossos corpos de água
----------
(water trails)
in water trails, I see the salt of so many souls (sealed by time)
that like a star, have already had their light turned off (more than a thousand millennia ago)
I stop to see your cosmic rays crossing the bottom (of the ocean)
and I pray to be absorbed the brightness that permeates (the buried centuries)
and when sunlight runs out, which body will store its radiation?
and transmute years into waves, mountains and plates of earth?
I see the heat of the sea being reborn, shattering into a thousand pieces
I want to know in which direction the wind sings its song
and I cry out so that time could only stop for a moment
so you can see the color of the sky recovering its tones again
and if the waves of time drown our perception
tell me, in a hundred years, will you still remember me?
tell me if when I die you will recognize me
dazzling at the bottom of the ocean
the stars that fell from the sky
next to cosmic dust
in our bodies of water
